I don't think you can really re-spray without stripping everything off the frame. You know, most times a new paint job wrecks the value of an old bike. Usually it is best to just clean it up. Robin Hoods were made in England. Post a message to the English Roadster section of this site - I think someone there sells decals.

I have an old firestone possibly late 50s early 60s. I just started a total restoration. I have not been able to remove handlebar stem. Bolt came out, not broken. But I cannot get the main head nut to break loose. Any suggestions, I've been trying for about 3 days with steady wd-40, rust penetrator, liquid wrench to no avail. Thanks any tips helpful.

Put the bolt back in a few threads, but not tight and give it a wack down with a hammer to loosen the wedge and the stem should just lift out.

unless the stem was all the way down. I have had good kuck after soaking with a good penetrant by putting a punch up the bottom of the head tube (center of fork) and knocking it loos with a hammer.

find the serial # then go to bunch o bikes schwinn serial # page. Depending on the year the # may be under the crank (pedal arms) on the frame, the rear dropouts (where the rear wheel bolts on), or on the front by the schwinn badge. Good luck and enjoy
