I have an old (1890's to 1910?) track bike that needs a restoration of the saddle. I have the old one that is falling apart in pieces. Anyone know of a good saddle restorer?

Hey. I've learned many many things over the years from this website and I hope some of you can come check out my blog where I'm posting about my process of disassembling, restoring, and building custom bicycles complete with pictures and videos at DirtyAgency.com. Don't let the name fool you into thinking it's something it's not. I'm working on mostly cruisers but the occasionally racer as well. Thanks everyone for all the help you've given me over the years.

hi,

BELL CRANKS.. you know, these things that change gears:

http://bikesmithdesign.com/SA/bellcranks.jpg

i thought someone out there might know something about the different bell cranks for shimano 3 speeds.

i have heard that some of the older shimano bell cranks are
better than others. i have heard there are types:

Positron

333

the one with a red "N" in the adjust window

and one with a different letter?

any others?

-could you please advise which is best?

or modify a SA one to suit?

The only type I've seen is the bell crank with the N as far as I know.
Shouldn't be hard to find an NOS or used one cheap.
