Hi,

i'm trying to find out about a bike my friend had as a kid that had a box on the front which made howling wolf noises and had lights on it. He seems to think it was a BMX but that is the only thing he knows. Anyone got any ideas what this might be? Help!

AGE / VALUE:   Part or sell whole? posted by: Brent on 12/18/2010 at 11:34:29 PM
I admit I flip bikes. Since I've been unemployed, it's been a valuable source of income. Today I found an incredibly clean '84 Predator Team Z. Looks to be fairly original other than Tuff IIs in place of the Z rims. When I used to find more bmx, I noticed that Predators never seemed to bring much. It would be really nice to be able to keep the sugino GT crankset for my commuter bike, but I realize that it's probably the most valuable part of the bike. I'm just not sure I should try to part this one.

I have no opinion on whether you should sell it whole or part it out, but if you can figure out which would put more cash in your pocket, then do that.
And saying “I admit I flip bikes” makes it sound like there is something wrong with flipping bikes for a profit.
There isn’t anything wrong with that!
You are keeping bikes out of the landfill, you are putting reasonably priced bikes back on the street, you are keeping money here in the US .vs. having someone buy a bike made in China or Taiwan.
This is capitalism at its best!

AGE / VALUE:   Motorcycle bicycle posted by: Brad Smith on 10/6/2010 at 7:20:26 PM
I need help identifying my old bicycle. It was new in about 1978. It looked like a motorcycle. It had a black frame and white plastic numbers on the front ad sides and I think a narrow white tank. It had shocks in the front and back and the seat was long just like a dirt bike. It seems like a white fender in front. Unfortunately it was lost in a shop fire years ago. I can't find a good photo of it right now but I want to find another one for my son. My brother had a yellow Yamaha bicycle that was the coolest so I know it was not one of them. Please help.
Thanks
Brad
