Your BMX Phantom was made in June 1982; however, I'm in the dark on the serial-numbered badge.

The four digit stamp on Schwinn headbadges was a date code of some type and was used for warranty issues among other things. The last digit was the year the bike was manufactured but nobody (Not even our Schwinn rep) has been able to tell me what the other three digits were. I know that Schwinns from the 90's only had a few different date codes.
