Hey man
If this hasnt already been answered for you.You can tell the age by the serial number:
Japanese made Diamond Backs:

First digit is the last digit of the year made, the letter is the "Batch" and the number is the number frame made that for that year.

4E0095 = 1984 E (batch) 0095 (95th frame off the line)

Taiwan made frames start with F then I think the next number is the last digit of the year made, the rest I have no idea
