MOTORIZED BICYCLES:   MX-5 Super Bike Engine posted by: Dave on 1/16/2009 at 5:43:10 AM
Hi I just bought a 1981 Schwinn Beach Crusier with a MX-5 super bike engine kit on it. It is was in storage for 14yrs. It runs like a top but I can't find any manuals for it, or find out if I can still get parts for it. It's still advertised on line at a few sites but has been discontinued. I've e-mailed and called the company's (left message's)but no replies. Any help will be appreciated. Dave Thanks

The user manual that comes with them has installation instructions and not much else. There's an extremely small exploded diagram, pretty much worthless. If it's running properly, enjoy it!

Is the Whizzer 700 kit still for sale? I had a 700 motor in approx 1962. Back then we knew it for its mysterious ' black box' which we blamed for all ignition problems! Anyway, I know this would not be an inexpensive item but let me know if it is still for sale. Thanks

Hello folks, I came across an old motorscooter and am have a lot of trouble finding the name of it, and would post a photo of it if I know how but here are some clues. It has a Briggs&Stratton Model Y engine, and according to the company it was Mft in July of 1935, so we are talking about a very old scooter, it is likly a 1hp or 2 at most. If anyone would like a photo I would be happy to send it too you if you would contact me at my email adress. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you Fred

MOTORIZED BICYCLES:   What kind of motor is this? posted by: Gordon Bullis on 9/10/2008 at 10:27:35 PM
Hi. I picked up an old moped a while back (I see from my previous post that it was 2 or 3 years ago) and finally started to work on it. Here's a pic of the motor. Can anyone tell me who made the motor, as the moped is an oddball (Mo-Pet)?

MOTORIZED BICYCLES:   vintage petrol bicycle engine posted by: emma on 8/25/2008 at 12:25:38 PM
I have recently acquired an old petrol bike engine which you attach to a bicycle. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it is called. It has a blue petrol tank, an engine and a vicious looking cog which turns the back wheel. It also has a licence plate attached to the back of the petrol tank.

I have an older Schwinn 3 Wheeler that is motorized, but I don't know anything about it. It has a little gas motor on it that says "CHICKEN POWER" does anyone have any information at all on this bike? My husband got it for me at a garage sale about 5 years ago and I'm starting to it fixed. Thanks.

Chicken Power, & Orline bike kits were powered by the Ohlsson & Rice 1hp engine. Do a search for O & R to find some, but not too much, info.
