MISC:high wheel bicycle posted by: Nan on 1/19/2010 at 11:07:25 AM
I don't know much about bikes, but I found one in an antique store that I would like to buy. It looks like a high wheel bicycle, but is made from both wood and metal. Could it be a reproduction? I thought high wheels were completly made with metal.

Best to get some info from the seller or a picture and then ask. Sounds interesting. You can google the company that makes repro's and compare too.

WANTED:Raleigh Colts 1950-1960's posted by: Gavin on 1/17/2010 at 10:22:54 PM
WANTED: Raleigh Colts 1950-1960's
My dad took my mom's old Raleigh bicycle (a childhood gift from her father) to the dump 20 years ago. I thought if I/he found her a replacement he could be forgiven! I believe it was a Colts 3 speed from the mid 1950's to the mid 1960's. It was blue with a two tone saddle seat and white wall tires. Thanks!
