FOR SALE:   All Original Vintage 1940's Raleigh Rod Brake Original War Grade Tires posted by: Nick on 1/1/2010 at 3:09:02 PM
Original Roadster with Rod Brakes from the 40's. It has the original Dunlop War Grade tires. Paint and chrome are incredibly good for this 60+ year old beauty. Saddle will need repairing/replacing but I'm not wanting to do anything with this rarity that a future owner might regret. Email me for more photos or if interested.

Dear Jonah,
This is Takashi Seki from Japan. I found your Excellent condition KESTREL MXZ frame in Vintage Bicycle Discussion Area. I've been looking for Kstrel MXZ frame for long time. There're very few amonunt of The 80's Kestrel bike in Japan. So, it's very difficult to find the Kestrels.
I'd like to take your KESTREL MXZ frame and I'd like to send total amount including shipping via paypal.
Do you still have your Kestrel MXZ frame?
and... Would you please be kind enough to ship for overseas, Japan?
If you'll permit my request, how much your repainted Kestrel MXZ frame is for me and how shipping free is to Japan?
I've been riding Kestrel 4000 and 200SC, with Cannondale and Trek of these days.
Thank you.
Sincerely yours, Tkashi Seki

WANTED:   schwin pixie seat post/seat posted by: mike Pruett on 12/21/2009 at 12:56:34 PM
I live in Seattle and am looking for a seat post and/or seat for a Schwinn pixie (or someone that can repair it). It doesn't adjust up much so our 7 year old has about outgrown it. Seat assembly underneath the seat needs some welding and repair or a new seat is needed. Any suggestions?

Seattle has a great bike community. I suggest you google seattle bicycle repair and pick a shop near you or one that appeals to you- I saw one called recycled cycles that sells used bikes- go in and ask them to sell you a cheap used saddle. Couple of bucks ought to do it.
Alternately, if the child is growing and the bike is not (it happens...), you could shop used bikes at the goodwill, salvation army, or whatever resale shop you've got nearby. You could offer to trade your Pixie or give it to a smaller person who can use it. The world is full of used bikes. For that matter the world is full of cheap new bikes too, although I see no benefit in going that route unless you're a doting grandparent.
