Depending upon condition, it could be worth between $40 - $175. Most bikes like that sell for around $100. If you are interested in selling I may be interested??

These were pretty wild looking bikes and they're fairly scarce. 16" front wheel? Post a picture so we can get a better idea of the condition.

That bike is certainly worth more than $100.00. LOL! Watch out for those characters! Try Thecabe.com,they have a couple of musclebike experts. I'd also try a google search and an e-bay search. Good luck.

WANTED:   1981 Stumpjumper posted by: Rick on 7/21/2009 at 6:20:25 PM
I have an original stumpjuper serial # T10223. Can anyone tell me when this was built and what the numbers stand for? This bike has nearly all the original parts except the cassette which broke several teeth. I bought this in late 1981 if I remember correctly. My uncle owned a bike shop and I got one of the first made. I am looking for original pedals and an original cassette. Please advise.

Hi Baba,
I don't know what "steep" is but I would like to get a fair price for it. You will have to factor in shipping cost.
Its in good physical shape, crome needs cleaning up.
It has "chopper" bars with orange "tiger" grips. It also has a "banana" style seat with "spotted tiger skin" covering.
