Probably a '64. Here's the catalog page:
http://www.trfindley.com/flschwinn_1961_1970/1964_0607.html
Find the serial number on the left rear dropout; it should be a capital letter followed by six digits. Compare it with the Schwinn serial number list on this site under general resources.
It's not collectible or rare, but it's a good city bike and those are more in vogue that they used to be.
Keep us posted.

I found the serial number and it's J342922. It was built in 1963. Is there anywhere that I can find the current value of this bike?

What's it worth to you? I'd post it on my local craigslist, which happens to be chicago. Check it out, there's dozens of vintage schwinns on there today. They tend to dream big around here; I personally would guess closer to one hundred than two, and if the condition's at all rough less than that.

Hi, I am greatly interested in the '56 Schwinn Jaguar. I was just wondering though, is it a Mark II? And dose it have the pressed steal rear rack with the tail light? What color is it, and how much would you like to get for it? Thanks.

Hello,

I recently came into possession of 2 bikes, a Schwinn Jaguar (Red) and a Schwinn Sting-Ray (Orange) I have many pictures of them, and I was hoping someone could help me identify their years and value, any help would be much appreciated! I can send the pictures as well! Thank yous o much.

Start with the Schwinn serial number chart on this site (links are at the bottom of the page). There are ways to post pictures to Oldroads, the Picture Database and the readers' rides, or you can post a link to your photo host.
Value depends mainly on condition and is determined by agreement between buyer and seller, but you can find comparables in several places including the Oldroads price guides.
Send me pictures if you like.

hey Ken,

Thank you for your response, I can definitely send you pictures, the serial numbers V70248 (for the jaguar) and the Sting-Ray is CD34 70. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If I could have your email, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

point at my name to see my address
Looks to me like 1956 and 1968 respectively, assuming the numbers are on the left rear dropout. There should be a number between the ones you listed for the StingRay. Again, the Schwinn serial number list is on this site under general resources.

FOR SALE:   1971 Moulton Folding Bicycle posted by: Dallas on 6/4/2011 at 2:11:02 PM
I have a 1971 Moulton Folding Bicycle that I would be willing to sell to the right buyer. It is red framed, with black front & rear fenders and handlebars, has original Troxel Cushion Comfort seat, black carrier frame on rear. This bike is structurally sound but has some cosmetic flaws: paint not original (color is), missing chain guard, white walled tires are slightly dry rotting(cracking in the side walls), pedals are white but have yellow specs on them? Bike rides really nice and effortlessly, folds easily though not as quick to breakdown as my Dahon, (vintage toy=vintage tech). Wheels are rust-free chrome, single speed with coaster rear, and caliper forward. I am asking $395 to a restorer who knows it's potential value.

Sorry for the delay, just got back from my honeymoon. The bike is located in Windsor, CT; I can email you pictures in a few days and the price is somewhat negotiable. There doesn't seem to be any of these around from what I can tell so its been hard to find a comparable value but have had more than a few offers before I was ready to sell.
