FOR SALE:   Austro Daimler/Puch Ultima SL posted by: Tom on 11/21/2008 at 9:35:14 AM
I hate to do this, but here we go:
Austro Daimler (Puch) circa early 1980's
56cm Reynolds 531 frame/fork, w/horizontal dropouts
Campagnolo Record: hubs, headset, bottom bracket, cranks, shifters, seatpost, 6sp freewheel
Mavic GP4 rims w/ new Schwalbe Montello sew-ups
Mavic brakes: calipers & levers
Cinelli bar & 3TTT Colnago stem
Only new items are: Scwalbe tires, 6speed chain (KMC), brake hoods, bar tape, and cables (stainless slick)
I have had this bike for 4 years and from what I can gather, the Ultima SL was bought as a frameset only (I could be wrong) and the groupo was selected by the original purchaser. The bike is in very good shape considering the age. I have plenty of pictures I can send upon request and will only ship in the continental US. Please e-mail with any requests.

FOR SALE:   Humber Sports posted by: David on 11/20/2008 at 5:31:36 PM
I have a Humber Sports 3 speed men's bike. It appears to be a late 60's or early 70's vintage. I could not locate a serial number. The decal says it was built in Ireland and there is a second dealer decal on the rear fender from.

Pete's Bicycle Shop "Everyone knows Pete" College Street New Haven

How can I found out more about this bike and it's value?

Thank you David

What is the frame size and the tire size, please? Is it a Ladies bike or a Mens bike?
What sort of brakes (hand or coaster or both)?
Pictures would be nice, too.

Thank you.

April,
We need a lot more info to give an accurate appraisal. Boys or girls? Springer fork? Estimated year? Look in the picture database and see if you can find one that looks similar or better yet, post a clear photo of your bike. Boys bikes will have more value than girls, and the more bells and whistles, the better. Late 50's bikes are somewhat more desirable than the early 60's. As always also, condition is everything.

The saddle may be from the 50's but the rest of the bike is much, much newer. More like late 80's, early 90's
