WANTED:   front wheel, 26" cruiser posted by: Brendan on 6/17/2008 at 11:14:46 PM
Looking for a 26" x 1.75" wheel for a beach cruiser, preferably alloy, 36 spokes. I know I can order them online, but would prefer to buy local (and hopefully cheaper). Cheers-

interesting... I just picked up a derycke at a freecycle event. nobody around here (denver) has ever heard of them. Mine is at least 38 years old (tin bike license from 1970 still on the fork) and is a three speed with an internal shift hub. It's been well maintained. All I did was clean it up and put air in the tires and it works well.

I'm definitely interested in hearing if anyone else knows anything about these bikes.

FOR SALE:   several bicycles 4 sale In Vermont posted by: Travis Gordon on 6/17/2008 at 3:20:47 PM
Hey guys, i have a couple of new bikes i've gotten. Im the kid in vermont with a collection of bikes, currently at 108. One is a really small Rollfast, 20 inch or smaller. The banna seat is alrigh tcondition, and the paintjob is all rust, but actually looks not too bad(strange, right?)
Next is a Murray Allant, in really god condition, but its got no seat. Its pink, good paintjob.
Also a Iverson Grand Touring, which is in pretty good condition. I believe everything works on it.
Last, a Kabuki: no other words on it, but its brown and it needs a new shifting line.

WANTED:   Williams 5-pin chainwheel posted by: Nick on 6/17/2008 at 12:34:06 PM
I'm after a 'five pointed star' design Williams five-pin chainwheel (type B100), with 48 teeth, either 1/2 x 3/16, or 1/2 x 1/8 at a pinch.

An Australian site named 'Collectable Cycles' lists Williams cranks and chainwheels, however I can't get a reply from them.

Found a girls bike in the back of an thrift store. It is bare bones original, fat tire with original cracked and ruined tires. Price $45.00 Had a label that
was clearly aged, it said Rocket... Is it worth the price of tires and service in the fat tire market? Thank you!!

but don't expect to make a profit reselling it; the price you're paying is retail.

FOR SALE:   Vintage Sutton Touring Bicycle posted by: Gary Bragg on 6/15/2008 at 2:24:53 PM
I've recently acquired what is obviously a very rare Japanese(early 70's- late 60's) touring bike with an English name and coat of arms(Sutton) and a very ornate head badge. Does anyone have any knowledge of this type of bike? It also has very pretty(amost fleur de lis) lugs and only weighs 26 1/2 pounds.

Western Flyer is the house brand of Western Auto. Your bike was built by Murray around 1962, plus or minus a couple, and is first cousin to the Sears Flightliner. Your handlebars aren't original, I believe. Is that a Bendix AutoMatic hub?
