MISC:Louts Leger Triatholon Series posted by: August on 3/22/2008 at 10:15:30 AM
A good while back I picked up a like new Lotus Leger Triatholon Series bike. Have done some searches on Lotus and have never seen this model or series mentioned. It has a 7000 aluminum frame and eliptical gearing. Wish it were a bit smaller as the frame is just a tad too tall/long for me to ride comfortably. (Was just one of those purchases because it looked so darned nice.)

I have an old Montgomery Ward hawthorne aluminum bike. One speed. Looks just like a Monark Silver King. What years did Monark make them for Montgomery Ward. The condition is very good.

NICE find! The chainguard and fenders are a rare thing to find. My guess early 70s. Where do you live? Ed

Does anyone know who made Fila bicyles? I have a Fila Corsa Limited and can't find any information on it. It is super light steel frame and has Campi dropouts and Shimano 600 components. Any info would be appreciated.

AGE / VALUE:Concorde / Concorpe posted by: Gralyn on 3/20/2008 at 5:10:07 PM
I posted sometime last Fall maybe - about a Concorpe. I had seen this bike - it had been stripped of tires, brakes, shifters, etc. It seems I remember it had handlebars and wheels. But anyway, I had no idea about it - until I saw a picture of a Concorde. The lettering was done the same way as the one I had seen....it actually looked like Concorpe - but it was actually "Concorde" ....it was just the way they scripted the letters. Now I'm wondering if that bike is still there - I wouldn't mind to have it.

I have two classic steel framed roadbikes circa 1985. The first one is in fair condition about 44 cm, twelve speed, baby blue Benetto. It works well, the front axel was replace and the bike has been upgraded as time went on & parts became worn. The second is a 49cm royal blue Marinoni with campie parts. This bike is well-worn with a spot of rust were paint job is chiped. Both are solid bikes & road worthy. What should I value them at for sale?

AGE / VALUE:1971 Schwinn Super Sport posted by: Heather on 3/14/2008 at 5:25:10 PM
I have a sky blue 1971 Schwinn Super Sport that appears to be nearly all original. It has original seat, paint, decals and generator lights. I think it is a men's frame. Does anybody have any idea of the value of this bike? Its in pretty good condition, but has a little rust and light scratching on it.

I haven't really researched prices on these recently (I have a green one) - but I'm thinking at least $200.

That's optimistic unless you can find a collector who just HAS TO HAVE this bike.

Keep in mind this was second from top of the line second only to the famed Paramount...Not a bad bike actually, only the crankset was junk. Came with a Brooks B-17 seat too.

WANTED:Iver Johnson info needed posted by: ascher on 3/11/2008 at 11:57:26 AM
Hello, I have a 1920's Iver Johnson Track bicycle that I'm looking for reference material for. I am new to this hobby and trying to restore this to as original as I can. I am looking for any/all informational sources + photos. Also looking for a correct saddle, seatpost, crankset, stem, and hubs (or wheels). Also, I want to find out what sorts of grips/bar tape would have been this racer. Thanks!

FOR SALE:Enthusiasts/Collectors - De Rosa! posted by: Liz mcGee on 3/9/2008 at 10:16:39 AM
I have 2 mid-1980s generation De Rosa road bikes with Campagnolo equipment for sale. They are blood red w/yellow decals. The top tube has the years Eddy Merckx won the championships. They are in excellent condition w/Super Record Campy. These frames are hand crafted, Eddie Merckx Limited Edition, one has never been ridden, the other was ridden and maintained impeccably. Have been in storage for many years; have a few small cosmetic scratches and will need some replacement parts, but in great condition. These are for collectors and enthusiasts who love vintage bikes. Asking $1500 each. Will listen to offers. :)
