Gary

I have one, it sat in my Mom's house for the last 30 years. I am the original owner, and received it for Christmas when I was 10 or so in Arizona.

The current seat and the sissy bar are not original, though I replaced the low style original sissy bar with one of those very high "chopper" type sissy bars when I got the bike. If I remember correctly the original seat was a darker green "banana" style and it split on me, so I replaced it with a slightly lighter green "banana" style.

I know the tires are flat, but original.

The bike is currently in storage in New Jersey, I would term it in fair to good condition. I'll see if I can get some pictures of it for you if your interested and I'll try and highlight any imperfections so you have a fair and honest view of it's current state.

You can reply to msdaly59@comcast.net if interested.

I have a Schwinn Stingray II. There is no serial numberon the bike,it is red with yellow trim and has Stingray II on the top bar and on the front forks. All the chrome on it shines and isn't pitted not even the rear fender.the red paint shines but has a few nicks in it and the yellow is faded, and I believe it has the original tires.can anyone tell me how old it is and andan approximate value?

There will be a serial number on the front of the bike next to the Schwinn badge. You can look that number up on the charts on this site to determine the year.
You can look up it's value in the price guide here, too.

Interesting, and found in Australia too. You are correct that resembles the Apollo Wish I knew, beats the hell out of me! Have fun with it. By the way? How much more seat post is there in the bike? Looks maxed out to me but maybe you'd better leave it.

AGE / VALUE:   FOR SALE/TRADE '67 schwinn Ramshorn fastback posted by: mike on 12/2/2006 at 12:08:40 PM
Looking to sell this coppertone '67 ramshorn for $350 or trade for an original paint krate or stingray project. The paint has some scratches, no screen on the guard and fork darts were rubbed off. Wheels are S5 center stamped with nice chrome, a few minor spots of rust and some brake burn. fenders are nice razor edge with some peppering. Tires have some cracking, But they are fine for riding. Sissy bar is very nice, seat is an aged hyper-formance repro. the derailer is sprint. Has a schwinn speedo. The crank arms is the only non schwinn item on the bike. One section of the handle bar tape is missing. If interested please email me at sickcycles@optonline.net
