Warning to you guys that buy parts for your muscle bikes on Ebay. I was ripped off for $50 buy a seller named Raleigh-Ron that sells a lot of stuff on Ebay. Do not deal with this guy, he is a crook and not a good person to deal with. I am not here to smear anyone's name, just warn others to spend their money elsewhere. Somewhere that cares about their customers. There are a lot of other sellers that sell the same stuff for better prices. Be careful and shop around on Ebay before you spend your money.

What happened????

I've bought several things from him, including some stuff from his store and never had any trouble.

What happened is kind of a long story. I did finally got a refund, but it was not easy and he was not very nice to me. I can not say he ripped me off anymore, but I can say his customer service is awful. He is mean to customers and seems he always has to have his way. In my opinion he gouges his customers for every penny he can. This is a hobby and is supposed to be fun. There is no fun in dealing with mean people. I still stand by my warning to be careful and shop around before spending your money. Finding someone that treats you with respect is well worth the extra time. If Ron reads this, then take it as constructive criticism. If you are mean to all your customers then you will eventually be out of business. I am not angry and do not hold a grudge but I do learn from my mistakes and will certainly shop elsewhere.

Just ignore Tommy aka (White Trash) he is just upset because he was banned from the Muscle Bike Forums! He always posts he wants items and never pays, he likes to work trades and then doesn't send his stuff. He also claims to have medical problems to get sympathy from everyone so he can gets stuff cheaper and donations. Typical White Trash type stuff.

Well, if you want the truth, Tommy sent me $50 to make him some decals I was waiting for a scan of his chain guard and he never supplied it. He was also a member of my forum so I waited patiently. Then I bought out a bicycle collection from a local guy and this is when White Trash started his B.S. I was told he was supposed to get some of the parts from the other guy so I offered to complete the deal they had previously worked but it was too late he was already ANGRY and accused me of ripping him off, and also trued to say I planned to switch parts on him. Then he demanded his $50 back for the decal so after a couple days I refund from Pay Pal. He says he is not angry and likes to play the victim, but he is the one on all the bicycle forums trying to slam my good name. I do have thousands lining up to defend how I treat customers. I am sure you can find a few guys that will agree with him, but I would also bet the same guys like to scam on all the forums and are dead beat buyers.

RE:MISC:   WARNING WARNING WARNING posted by Tommy on 7/31/2010 at 5:35:25 AM
Banned? Ha! I asked you to delete my membership. Tell the truth Ron. You did not off to complete the same deal I had with the other person. You tried to pull a fast one on me and offer a used seat in place of the NOS seat that was what I made a deal on. I know you got two identical seats in the deal. One NOS one used. That is the stuff you pull. It is all about making profit to you. Dead beat buyer?? What ever dude. I may say I want to buy something but also say I can not come up with the money. Bid deal! So I want more bike stuff than I can afford. Who doesn't? It took you 13 days to refund my $50 after I asked for it. You never refunded me until I posted this message on a couple forums. DO NOT BRING UP MY MEDICAL PROBLEMS! I can easily prove my problems but do not want to do that on a public forum. Anyone that wants to see my medical records and my papers for my disability then email me. I do not lie. I may back out of deals that I can not come up with money for. I will admit that. I kind of have an addiction to muscle bikes. It is a real problem that I am working on.

Ron, let's stop this now. I will never mention another word of you in a public setting if you do the same. Let's ignore each others existence and go on with things. That is all I want ed several weeks ago when I asked to be deleted from your forum and my $50 back. It could have been real easy for both of us if you did not start the name calling business. I even tried to send you an apology for my name calling after you refunded my money but you banned me from emailing you. So, I will apologize for any name calling I did. I will not apologize for any true statements I made, but I will apologize for the name calling. I got angry and I am sorry. Now let's be men and let this whole thing go.

MISC:   Original colors for Western Flyer Buzz Bikes? posted by: Warren Frederickson on 7/19/2010 at 7:31:45 PM
Hi,

Do color charts exist for Western Flyer bikes? Like paint formulas for automobiles? I have a Buzz Bike F5, and I need the formula to be able to restore it.

Thanks,

MISC:   WESTERN FLYER BUZZ BIKE F5 - MURRAY posted by: Warren Frederickson on 7/3/2010 at 11:57:20 PM
Hi,

I just found and bought a bike from my childhood - a Western Flyer Buzz Bike F5. I plan on restoring it, and would like to find some pics of original examples, ads, original Western Auto material, etc.

I still have the original *hang tag* (envelope and inserts) from my childhood bike. It was *raspberry* with a silver sparkle banana seat - same as the one I just purchased.

Thanks,

Warren

I have an AeroBee Avenger 5 speed bicycle.
All original and in riding condition.
It could use some chrome polish but very little rust.
What's a reasonable asking price?

I would say at least $300 if it is as clean as you say. It could be more, but this would be a fair price

There is really no way to restore tires especially for riding purposes. For show purposes I have had good luck using two or three coats of semi gloss lacquer paint for the black areas and auto parts stores sell a white wall paint for white walls. For redline tires WalMart sells paint pens in red. None of this holds up for riding, but for show holds up okay. The paint fills in small cracks. If you have a set of old rims it is even better to paint them fully aired up. Good luck to you, sorry I can not help you with tires. Check Ebay.
