I forgot to mention the NOS red Goodyear tires on the Rollfast. Also to get to my auction for the Columbia you need to copy and paste this link:

Man, Where were you 8 or 9 years ago? LOL! That tandem is a steal!! My kids would have loved one of those but I could only find the $1000.00+ Schwinn Mini Twinns back then. That shouldn't last long here. Good luck.

The "333" hub you refer to would be a shimano product. As to the balance, pics would allow for a much better analysis.

Cheers!

AGE / VALUE:   vintage huffy bike posted by: John on 3/30/2010 at 9:22:55 AM
I have an old huffy cheater click bike, orange and black with the bannana seat and ape hanger bars. I was thinking about getting rid of it and was wondering about value/interest in it. It is all original, the paint is in good shape. The seat shows some wear and the chrome needs some work, but for the amount of abuse I put it through when I was a kid it's in very good shape. Any information I could get would be helpful. Thanks

AGE / VALUE:   Suitable forks for Malvern Star Chopper posted by: Chris on 3/26/2010 at 7:41:50 AM
Hi, just trying to source some forks much like the original Raleigh Chopper forks for my Malvern Star Chopper (Raleigh clone with MS branding).

unfortunately, there isnt a lot that is original about the bike, so the forks are crucial to get that overall "look". I've read a few places that some other bikes from the Raleigh range around the same era had interchangeable forks, but they are hard to track down these days, especially being in Australia.

Any suggestions would be great - remember the forks would have to be suitable for a 16" front wheel..

Thanks!
- Chris

AGE / VALUE:   Mattel Motorcycle Bike posted by: Dale on 3/1/2010 at 6:43:05 PM
I have parts to a bicycle I used to ride when I was a kid. It looked like a motorcycle, it has a chrome, two tube frame. And on the bottom, under the crank, it has a tag that says something about Mattel. Does anybody know anything about these bikes? Thanks for any help.

Mattel made a couple different models like that. They were called Stallion (no tank) and Bronco (with the tank). They are collectible little bikes with a good following. If you do a Google search on Mattel Vrroom, Stallion, or Bronco you will find a ton of information. Also in the picture database of this site there is some pictures for you.

Hi, That's not a Schwinn. My guess is a Murray or AMF. Not really collectible,as they were bottom of the line bikes. It's from the 60's

Thanks for the info, I'm okay with it not being a collectible I just really wanted to know a little more about it... I also have a lower end Japanese Skyway that I love but isn't very collectible.

It appears to be a Sears Spyder. To me they ARE collectible just not over inflated prices like Schwinns. They are well built bikes adn pars are readily available.
