You need to take pictures of the bike & various close-up pix of it's parts, for ID purposes.

I am assisiting our local historical society with the
identification of a series of glass plate negatives.
One of the photographs has a bicycle in it. Can we
date the photo by bicycle model or style? The photo is
high resolution, but not all of the bike can be seen.

Hi John, If you can post a link to the picture (easiest is on a photo host like Photobucket) or email me with an attachment, also your location, I will have a go.
Likely area of manufacture helps. Neg to pos is a very simple inversion, if you copy it by means of a digi camera, some have this effect.

MISC:   INDIAN HEADBADGES FAKE? posted by: Nelson on 3/23/2010 at 10:20:09 PM
Hi everybody,
I recently bough an Indian Bicycle without a nameplate. It has the classic 11 spoke chain ring, pedals, etc. I was searching the internet trying to know what kind of nameplate it supposed to have and I found three different emblems: one with the "Indian" word carved in a circular plate, other with the Hendee Mfg Co word and the "indian head" in the middle and recently find one very similar the the second one but with the word "Indian Motocycle Co" on top. My question is: what year this emblems belongs to? what is the correct nameplate for my bike? the person that sold it to me told me that it's a 1925. Also, is this last emblem fake? it's correct to a bicycle?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
