I recently purchased a schwinn at our local swap meet and would like to restore it to original. How do I identify what make and model I have. There is a number stamped on the front of the neck but cannot find that number in any database. Is there any other means of identification?

I am looking for information on a leather Dunlop saddle. I work for a living museum which depicts life in the 1940's and am trying to find information on whether or not this item is date appropriate. If anyone out there has any information on Dunlop bicycles or accessories, I would really appreciate it if you could get back to me, as I have been unable to find any information on the subject.
