MISC:   Event: Human Powered Vehicle Festival posted by: Tim Leonard on 9/27/2010 at 2:00:58 PM
The Friends of the Nashua River Rail Trail are hosting a Human Powered Vehicle Festival, for everyone in the area to come enjoy the Rail Trail, get some exercise, and have fun together in an environmentally friendly way. The festival will be Saturday October 16 (rain date October 17) from 10:00 to 2:00, in Groton center, Ayer center, and the Nashua River Rail Trail between them. Attendance is free, and you're invited to participate on foot or to bring your own human-powered vehicles and join in. There will be examples and demonstrations of many kinds, including unicycles, antique bicycles, scooters, roller blades, tricycles, wheelchairs, velomobiles, and more unusual vehicles that you've probably never heard of before. There will also be tables set up by many local organizations, including the Groton Police (who will be providing bike-safety training), local bike shops and riders' groups, other rail trails and outdoor recreation areas, and several of the area's excellent local rest

Most Japanese components have date codes. Start here:

Value is probably at the garage-sale level

What are you looking to find out about the bike? Westfield Mfg. used hundreds of different names on their bikes. Niagra was a common one for them. These non-Columbia Westfield Built bikes were almost the same as the Columbia badged bikes but may have had different options.

I think I may have one too! I bought exactly what you are describing at an auction for 20.00 and a monark with tank lights also for 20.00. Mine has a rear rack and the tank has a button on the side, I opened the tank to find a horn or siren! It also has a metal electric horn on the bars with bell next to it. The bike even has a lid on the chain guard for oil to keep chain lubed. I saw a mint all original late 40's minus tank and rear rack for 775.00 on eBay,it is currently posted. Im also having trouble finding anything here is the only number I found stamped on the flat piece the rear tire c227714
