I am looking for plans, photos, or even descriptions of pedal powered amusement rides. I saw a picture once of a small ferris wheel ride and a carousel, but lost the bookmark. Any pointers would be appreciated, to any commercial or non-commercial sites etc. Mike

WANTED:   Western Flyer Ramrod II posted by: Bill on 10/3/2003 at 1:35:17 PM
When I was a kid I worked all summer for my dad for a quarter an hour to pay for this bike. He saw I wasn’t going to have it paid for by the end of summer and gave me a raise to 50 cents an hour. I got the bike and had many years of enjoyment with it, but when I was old enough to drive it was left to rust. Not realizing the rarity of it at the time, I ended up giving it along with several other bikes to an overseas charity that a member of my church belonged to. Now I want it back and will have to pay for it all over again. I can’t even find a picture of one on google but I am sure there has to be some out there that need a good home, and I hope you can help me find it. They made a regular ramrod and a ramrod II but I don’t remember what the difference was, probably insignificant. It is a chopper bike with long front forks. (Close to West Virginia would be a plus)

Thanks

Bill

The Trexlertown Velodrome swap meet is this Saturday, October 4th. The show will be huge if the weather is nice. It is mostly newer stuff and track bikes but there's always a little bit of everything there. A must-see for anybody that likes bikes. The Goodwill fire company Classic/Antique show is Sunday, October 5th. This is for all the old stuff and again, if the weather is nice there will be an excellent turnout. Plan a weekend getaway and hit them both!
The shows are within walking distance of each other. Too bad they're not on the same day!

SWAP MEETS:   Atlanta Show swap meet? posted by: JR on 9/8/2003 at 12:45:07 PM
Has anyone heard of any bike shows or swap meets in the Atlanta, Georgia area. We used to have one a year but the bike dealer hosting it went out of business.

We had the Atlanta (Marietta) show this April. The sponsoring club didnt advertise much. There was no show last year as the Armory was closed due to 9-11 measures. There will be a show in Statesville Sept 21.
