Larz did not like the riff raff of the swap so they have concourse only

And the swap, which was NOT held at the Larz Anderson Museum of Transporation, was great. All riff raff, loads of parts and bikes and stuff at good prices, no gate charge (Larz was $5 last year!). I got a Supercourse for $25 and a Raleigh Chopper for $200.

The band was good, but the food was about as expensive as it was at the Larz show last year. Did anyone go to the Larz show this year (in April I think?)

MISC:   Help i.d. my bike! Firestone... posted by: Stevie on 8/27/2003 at 3:31:57 AM
I was given a bike by a good friend. I have had many comments on it. I just want to know any information on it that I can. It is red with black and whte stripes. It has Firestone as the head-badge. It is a man's bike. It is labeled as Dix Vitesse Vagabond. I probably sound dumb, but I can't find anything on this. It is still able to be ridden too. Can somebody help me please?

Sorry for taking up room on this board in such a way. But we've all tried to post a URL that includes a 'tilde'... that horizontal wavy line, but we always get a 'comma'. Just tring to find what key/combo gives a tilde.

! = exclamation point, @ = AT sign, # = pound sign, $ = dollar, % = percentage, ^ = caret, & = and, * = asterick,
( = left bracket, ) = right bracket, _ = underscore, + = plus, { = left wavy bracket, } = right wavy bracket, : = colon, " = dbl quote, < = less than, > = greater than,| = pipeline

Hi, The first 4 digits of the Ross serial number give the date, therefore yours would be May of 1977.
This holds true for all of the ones I've seen so far.

MISC:   Help Identify My Bike Westfield posted by: Paul on 8/11/2003 at 10:59:38 AM
Hi

I recently acquired a Westfield(Columbia?) bike and am trying to figure out what model it it. Original color was black with white striping and atomic symbols on the tank.
Also has a horn in the tank. I believe it is all original except for the repaint and seat. Also no serial number that I could find. It has skip tooth drive-train, which I am going to need a chain for(Help!)

Thanks,
Paul

FOR SALE:   Magnesium "Flower" Mag's posted by: Kevin on 7/17/2003 at 12:38:39 AM
I have a set of original flower mag's for a 20" schwinn. I'm told these are very rare now! I bought them new, and they are serial numbered. 1974, I think. Everyone, at the time, was buying the plastic mag's. The Schwinn "Scrambler" was the big thing, cause they were the new bike on the market and had the newest, coolest rims available. of course, I had to be diferent! I have never seen another set "FLOWER mags. They are made of magnesium (alloy). If anyone has any info on these rims or theeir value, please let me know !! lswi@aol.com
thanks for reading.......

this is kinda like writing a note, placing it a bottle , and throwing it into the ocean. Then waiting for a return message> Ha Ha!!!!!!!!!!!
