hey Richard my names Mo cell # 283-2008 I live in clovis, and am also right now trying to find out about a possible swapmeet in our area. Seems the one that I went to years ago at Simonians Farms has been gone for some time and was relocated to Kingsburg and then Sacramento. Can only seem to find things in Socal where these bikes are huge. I have been to a couple of bay area forums and they are saying that there is a lack of following even up there, which really shocks me. Hey give me a call, maybe we need to start something here again even if it is word off mouth and loosely organized. my friend and I have another older friend that owns a bike shop here in Clovis, and he is all excited about people restoring and collecting old bikes, so we have a start right here. i know that there are others out there thinking along the same line as us...Best regards from Olde Town Clovis..........Mo

SWAP MEETS:   DUDLEY MA EVENT posted by: Don Sanford on 2/7/2010 at 8:16:20 PM
Is there anyone out there who attended the last Dudley event who can tell me some details as to what it was like or what the next one Feb 21 may be like???? It is a slightly over two hour journey for me out there in this snowstorm time of year in a tough economy meaning I`m very low on money to spend so I`m debating on whether to attend or not. I`m mainly only interested in hard to find PARTS for 70s and older three speed Raleighs, Sports, DL1s, and other English Sturmey-Archer bicycles etc. Is there much of that and how are the prices? Any info or feedback will be greatly appreciated, thanks so much, Don.

I went to the Fall swap in Dudley. It was good. A lot of vendors.

Hello jj, thanks for your reply. I just wanted to ask you in addition, "was there much for England-made(Raleigh etc.) 3 speed 1950s and 1960s parts for sale?" Or was that just a small part of it with most of it being everything in general such as Schwinn, Sting Rays, J.C. Higgins, racers, mountain bikes etc.? Thanks, Don Sanford.

RE:SWAP MEETS:   DUDLEY MA EVENT posted by Mike on 2/17/2010 at 8:54:37 PM
There should be lots of everything this time around as we have opened up additional space for the swap meet and have approximately 30,000 sf that we can fill up with bikes and bike parts. I know of several dealers who are bringing Sturmey Archer parts. Hope to see you here !!!
