Current version of the Raleigh Trent Sports with new 700c Sun CR18 rims laced to a Raleigh front hub and Sturmey-Archer FW-4 rear hub using Wheelsmith spokes and nipples. I decided to use Panarace Paesela Tour-Guard tires in a 25mm width; could probably go to 28mm with the existing fenders. Took it out for a test ride on one of my regular routes and the bike rode superbly with the new wheelset and tires. Not too shabby for a 31 year old bike.

Here's a photo of my 1972 Raleigh Sports. This is the bike that got me into vintage bikes and was purchased from the folks at Old Roads/Menotomy. Since this photo was taken, I've added a water bottle cage, bike lock holder to the seat tube and replaced the rear cog with a 21 tooth gear. This is my SUB, Sports Utility Bike.

1975 Raleigh 20 folding bike. Bought this last year when I developed an interest in folding and small wheeled bikes. Took it on my vacation last year but didn't ride it since I was getting over a bad cold. Ride it often around the neighborhood and with my grandson when he comes over. The bike is 90% original with only changing to new tires and tubs.

This is my current 'retro-grouch' bike. A 1958/70 Raleigh Trent Sports. 1958 because that's the last catalog I found it listed in and 70 due to the date on the SA hub. Changes since the photo are: N.O.S. Brooks B72 brown saddle, Rivendell Kevens seat bag to match, water bottle cage on seat tube, brown cloth tape on handlebars and a 21 tooth cog on the rear hub. I swapped a FW gearset into the AW hub shell in August 2008. The gearing works really well. The tires were replaced in August of 2008 with black-wall Kenda tires. The new tires ride surprisingly well. They are the 597 BSD types. With the gearing, I can ride almost all the hills in my area that I would use the Univega for.
