FOR SALE Atala bicycle or not?
« Reply #17 on: November 09, 2011, 09:09:59 am »

I have this bike that says Atala made in MilanoItaly.
Its green with Simplex componetsSuper Iris rimsMesinger
saddle. It has Weinmann 610Vainqueur 999 front brakes.
And 750999 rear brakes. Looks like an early 70s model?
Serial number is R713873. Is this bike the real thing or
a replica?

Not aware of any one making repros of Atalas.
Opinions?

No reason to replicate those parts anyway. Early 70s is a good guess.

Note to Atala-Pixie-Caddy so far your input is clear and reasonable. Why not give yourself a name? Are you an old friend? Pretending to be no one fools no one and pretending to lurk is just odd. This site is based on a tradition of community and cooperation no?

FOR SALE NOS Dunlop Ribbed 20 * 2.125 tires

FOR SALE

NOS (new old stock from a closed bike shop) Dunlop Ribbed Made in Canada 20 * 2.125 tires. They are standard BMX (406mm) sized tires. They were used on the rear of CCM mustang bike i think. They have 20A RIM - Nylon - and Inflate 30 to 40 psi written on the side. Have been kept in a heated room so they are new with like new side wall. All black with red line.

Could be nice on CCM or Sting Ray restoration maybe low rider too.

I have 39 in stock. I am asking 10$ + shipping each (actual shipping cost so a few more tires will not cost much more.

Take a look at http--www.guybouchard.ca-wp-archives-112-lang-pref-en-

In the early 50~s I had a bicycle with the emblem Cadilac on the post for the front forks. I have never seen another. I don~t recall if this was the make or model. Can anyone offer information?  Thankyou Richard

FOR SALE Helyett racing bike
« Reply #25 on: November 09, 2011, 09:09:59 am »
Posted on: 1-14-2008 by Hans
I found a Helyett bike in Paris at a flea market. Further research suggests that it is very rare and could be worth a lot!
I want to sell it just for enough money to get another bike to use every day. I don~t know the year and am not a bike collector so if you~re interested please contact me with questions I~ll try my best to help.
thanks!

I have the Atala. And my name is posted! Randy F Cabrera.
What are you the bicycle police? Take off your bikes
saddle and go riding on your seatpost!

Posted on: 1-15-2008 by ken
Randy I was talking to the person who replied to your post and signed off with the name of the bike which had also happened in two other posts in succession. I am not the police but I have been contributing to this forum for a long time and am entitled to state my opinion.
I rode this morning. ten degrees F and a good westerly breeze. But I used a saddle.

Hello I have a Miyata rod-brake roadster also...mine came to me in rough shape missing original fenders and quite rusty...the wheels were really not salvageable.  I would love to see photos of your Miyata!
