Oil in the 3 speed archer hub
« on: February 07, 2014, 11:29:25 pm »
Like stated . I got the linkage here and it is adjusted and seems to work . What I'd like to know is what oil goes in the plastic fill hole and how much . It has been idle for at least 40 years . I'm sure it can use a drink !

A thin petroleum-based oil is what you want.  Even something like 30-weight motor oil.
3 drops every couple months if you ride regularly.
The most important thing is to NOT use a vegetable-based oil.
