attached, i hope you'll see a photo of my new-oldie mountain bike - italian make (girardengo) - not too expensive (´┐¢70) - light-weight steel frame (smooth tubes, no seams) - shimano everything ... 18 gears, no less - hills? ha! i speet on hills!
mountain bikes seem to be the bike of choice for oldies here where i live in italy. a lot of them (the bikes, not the old geezers riding them) look like they haven't been maintained properly or even seen the light of day outside a garage or cantina, since they were wantonly discarded by their newly-licensed, car-driving kid owners, lo' those many years ago.
as they're an entirely new and modern breed of bike to me ... hip is the new retro.
presently with the mechanics to replace a cracked crankarm - so i can't eye-ball it - but i'm curious to know if 27,5 tires will fit on this frame.
