I have and old Schwinn Ser. #L034082 with 24" S-7 wheels, and a 2 speed Bendix automatic. The bike has been repainted, missing the chain guard and fenders, has a banana seat, not sure it's original, and the handlebar is conventional, (not extended). Just wondering what model I have. Also looking for a replacement wheel. One wheel is quite a bit out of round. And so far, I've been unsuccessful in correcting the out of round problem. Any help and information greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I'll try to post the picture again here.[p][a href=F:\Schwinn24.jpg target=_blank][/a] by: 216.210.66.208

Still trying to identify this old Schwinn, ser. no. L034082. What is it? Old StingRay, Typhoon? It has 24" wheels with 28 spokes on S-7 rims, with a Bendix Automatic, 3 red bands. The front rack is a Persons, and the banana seat is by Troxel. Not sure which of these parts are original.[p][a href=C:\Users\Dave\Pictures\2008_0914\Schwinn 24.JPG target=_blank][/a] by: 8.15.178.104
Old Schwinn - L034082 Need to know what I have. Hopefully the picture loaded this time. [p][a href=http://oldroads.com/oldwebs.asp?uploadid=638 target=_blank][/a] by: 8.15.178.104
L034082 looks like 11/21/1960 if it is stamped on the left rear dropout. I would say the banana seat is not original. by: 208.100.248.141
Thanks Guido, that's what I thought. Still have yet to find out exactly what it was. I do know the original paint was a dark red, almost burgandy. by: 8.15.176.108
