| I am almost done restoring this old 1952 or 1953 Hiawatha bicycle that is a friend's childhood bike. He remembers getting in 1952-53 but it does have prewar type rear wheel droputs with the screws. I cannot find a Hiawatha/Shelby serial no. guide to confirm the year made. Serial no is: 8979111--it was bought new at Western Auto. My friend Bob wants to know what this bike cost when new and what year it was made. It holds sentimental value and it is coming together nicely. Thanks and you can emil me direct at thegarz@hotmail.com if you wish. by: 65.49.160.205
