| What do you need to know? Royal Scot was one of many names Raleigh gave to their line of B- grade bicycles. The "A line" was Raleigh, Humber, Rudge. Those had fork locks, dynohubs, and better seats, and so on. There is no difference with frame tubing, and headsets or bottom brackets, or other moving parts. Those are standard Raleigh issue. So if you need parts of any kind then you can look for new , old stock raleigh parts or any other parts off of a Raleigh Sports. Everything is all interchangable. Also. You are free to put a Sturmey- Archer dyno hub kit on your bike, change the seat to a leather one, change wheels, hubs, whatever. Go to e- bay and buy a Sturmey- Archer four speed hub with the trigger and have it laced into your wheel. The Scot bike to own is another brand of bike no longer made and it is called a "Flying Scot" or "The Flying Scot" That is another kettle of fish. Go to "Bob Reid's Flying Scot Page" on the web. Tell us about your bike and what you need parts wise. We are bike collectors, mechanics, historians, and hoarders of all parts imaginable, I have owned a few Royal Scots and one was a ladies bike with nice frame geometry and I put a derailer wheel on that one. Is this bicycle blue or black? by: 209.104.139.1 |

| Hi I was reading this post and I am looking for someone to recondition a Royal Crown Bicycle from the 1950's My bike is a royal blue color says that it was made in England, has a spot where a bicycle pump used to fit (where water bottles are placed today!) It has a Sturmey Archer 3 speed gear. It runs very well I just need all the body work done on it, lots of rust. by: 216.227.60.215 |
