| I shot a roll of Kodak film on Saturday, 31 October, 2009. This one is of the ramp area where the local BMX crew does stunts. It wasn't really designed as a ramp park for bikes, But "any port in a storm" Click on the icon below: |
| This one shows the bike I've been Riding. It looks like a normal Moutain Bike, except it has BMX handlebars, and a set of boxes, which were made (recycled) from Corrugated Plastic, which I acquired the day after Election Day of last year. Now, it's election day again today, and I also wanted to give you all another heads up. Get some of those Election Campaign signs TOMORROW MORNING, early, or late at night tonite, after the polls close. The Corrugated Plastic makes excellent hard panniers, someone even said he thought this bike was a Harley, looking from the rear. And these boxes also hold a spare shirt, a membership roster for the Glen Cove Bicycle Club, a cigar, a roll of tape, an air pump, and a tool kit. Plus I like to pick up a ten pound bag of potatoes at the local supermarket. | This is an overhead view of the Corrugated Plastic Box. You can see the way I mounted a water bottle cage, and I used a clamp from a wire mesh basket that ripped apart, to mount the new box, the rear wall is three layers thick, and the bottom has a piece of quarter inch aircraft plywood, which abuts the stem, to prevent the box from sagging or drooping. Take note of the details, people will respect you more if you pay attention to detail; you can also see in this picture the "Old School" notebook, which contains the names and email addresses of the members of the newly reorganized Glen Cove Bicycle Club. There is a small piece of corrugated plastic, with the grain going against the grain of the box-side, acting as a backer for the water bottle cage mount, also I used fender washers, and those nuts with the nylon insert so they don't loosen. There is also a pencil taped to the inside of the box. More pictures were also posted at bikeforums.net , in the Utility biking forum.[p][a href=http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q119/hotbike/22_20A.jpg target=_blank][img src=the_camera.jpg][/a] by: 69.117.87.22 |
