I stumbled on a used 3 piece crank that fits the 2 inch BB on a typical cruiser.I used it on my Mad Wagon.Wondering if anyone has seen one or knows where to get one. I'm sure the only difference is in the axle because it uses standard bearings nuts and washers. Thanks by: 74.71.71.119 |
I've got a couple used ones. They still use them on some cheapos to make them look likw lightweights; also there are bmx-specific ones. LBS might have it. by: 66.225.39.202 |
There is a 50's or 60's roadster sitting in front of an antique shop in ST Charles MO (west of St louis). It is marked 100$. Not worth it because it is starting to rust. I am not interested in at all. If it was English that would be different. It has 3 speed (internal hub)New departure stuff on it not SA. One of you guys need to rescue it before it gets to bad. Seat is already shot. It is on north second street in the old banner equipment building. Make them an offer or just steel the thing if you have to. I cant stand seeing it rot like that any more I go by there all the time by: 68.188.61.109 |

I have a J.C. Higgins Deluxe (I believe it is a 1956...not sure though). I would like to sell the bike and I am curious how much it is worth. The bike is in average condition and all original. Can anyone advise me of the value of my bike???? by: 68.38.59.238 |
Any idea what this is? What it's worth? No names except Troxel seat. A child's bike. Solid Rubber tires. Thanks. |
The chainguard looks like an Iverson, but the chainguard also does not look original. It has a headbadge. What does it say on it? by: 205.179.119.126 |
The badge is all scratched off and it's hard to make out but it look like the last two or three letters are "RER" or "PER". The front fender and chainguard look a little newer than the rest of the bike too. All I know is that someone said this was their grandfather's bike as a child and he would have been 100 this year! So that would place it somehwere around early teens of 2Oth century. Is that possible? by: 24.46.132.71 |
Could it be a 1953 Stelber? Did they have solid tires in children's bikes? by: 24.46.132.71 |
i'm thinking Stebler or Ross maybe ??? by: 138.26.192.155 |
Can anyone tell me where to get information on Stebler bicycles. I can't find a thing on the web. There is a book for sale on e-bay but the vitage websites aren't a lot of help. If possible I'd like information on Firestone bikes and Hawthorne. I did find a little about each of these but nothing real great. I'd appreciate any leads on getting pictures, value, and how to determine year made. Kathi by: 151.201.142.122 |
