Oh yeah, the number stamped into bottom of crank bearing housing on the "880" Speed Cruiser is J44098 if that's any help.... by: 66.174.92.168 |
Need some help with vintage of this one. It's a Ladies Firestone "880" Speed Cruiser. Aluminum neck tube plate bears number 9A162(lower brad)988. Crank sprocket decorated with 3 large alternating with 3 small 'star' cutouts. Pedal end caps marked with star on dome and stamped 'Excel Inc. U.S.A.'. Each pedal has 2 star brads on each of the braces. Rear brake marked "Perry B-100 England". Bike has flat cargo rack over rear mudguard with chrome support/ mount bracing. Front mudguard has additional chrome rack each side, from axle to neck tube. Headlamp marked "Delta Hawk", rear reflector stamped "NTD 52" on backside. Bike appears to have been Green & White. Now, nice Turquoise patina with 'cracked eggshell white'. Rims, saddle, handgrips all appear original. "Tank" has built in horn button. Horn works, but sticks in 'on' position. Looks almost like Deluxe Cruiser or "500" Cruiser but designated "880 Speed Cruiser. I've replaced tires and drive chain only. Any help with year ? Trying to upload photos now. by: 66.174.79.241 |
