MISC:   Mongoose Supergoose posted by: Ray on 10/29/2000 at 1:46:00 PM
Picked up today a Mongoose Supergoose. This looks to be a real early Mongoose bike if it is original.
I have never seen one like this before so I must rely on you experts on this forum.
It is a white cantilever frame with a Mongoose Supergoose sticker on the top tube and a matching BMX on the headtube.
It is a coaster with two metallic blue MotoMags and blue tires. There is a blue handlebar with crossbar and blue pad.
Stem looks like an early bmx type. Straight seat post with blue vinyl paddes saddle. The bike needs work but not sure if it is worth it.
One real funny looking detail is real large exaggerated rear dropouts. They must be 4 inches if not better in diameter. If you have heard of this bike let me know.

yes i have heard of this bike before, i own one. The original supergoose was made 1979/1980. However, if the dropouts are large and have 2 holes in them, its a supergoose II which was maybe '81,'82,'83... There were also earlier Mongoose models which were the same frame design, with minor differences.

As for worth, i really don't know. But i really enjoyed fully restoring mine.

FOR SALE:   Hutch expert racer in black-excellent cond. posted by: RJ on 10/27/2000 at 9:34:17 PM
I stumbled onto this site and saw all the "HUTCH" talk so I figured I get my old bmx out of the attic and sell it. It is a black powder coated Hutch expert frame and fork with chrome decals, it still has black z-rims, chrome "hutch" pads, hutch bars, DK stem, suntour cranks and pro pedals, old GT lay back seatpost with flawless red Kashimax saddle, Odi mushroom grips in red w/ white( also extra pair in black), I have also a UNI seat in black, plus a bunch of old Oakley grips like B1's and 3's, and old haro number plates. Plus a couple sets of Zap pads and California Lite pads sets. This stuff is all from around 1983 and has been sitting in the attic since. Local deals would be best, i'm in eastern PA. If your interested in any of this stuff drop me a email with offers. Thanks-RJ

I am looking for a 1986-1989 Redline Forklifter Stem. Also looking for any 1985+ RL20 series bikes/frames/forks (RL20II mainly). I especially need some tappered Redline Forks 1" threaded - not neccesarly the older "long" headtubes sizes - if you remember those?

Let me know what you got...

Jeez, love all this infighting when it comes to Hutch. There's obviously some passion, here—couldn't imagine all this drama over the Murray X-20r/X-20c. And all the secrecy—okay, there's a "special" bottom bracket sticker on the Pro Star. My USA-made Trick Star has a "Made in the USA from True Temper" blah blah blah sticker on the BB shell that doesn't come in any of the sticker sets—is that what you're talking about? (It's not the exact wording, because I'm not looking at it right now.) Just say what you mean, guys. And BTW, I've got a set of those mag bodied, ti axled Hutch hubs on my Pro Racer (which is definitely not a Pro Star, in case anyone's wondering). They're damn cool.

I just pulled my old hutch out of the garage. It's a 83 pro raider. How do you tell if the frame was american or tiawan built? I still have the original reciept. Do you know where I might find the original specs and part list for that bike. I upgraded the bike to all hutch parts, but can't remeber what was original/aftermarket. Any info is appreciated.

AGE / VALUE:   WTB Trick Star decals and more posted by: Brett Perry on 10/24/2000 at 1:14:23 PM
I know I am asking for a lot. I would like downtube decals in any color. The frame I found was pink but it has been primered
so any color will due. I know I won't get a complete set. Also would like a fork for the same bike. I think this fork was shared
with other colors and I will be painting. Also looking for Hutch bars. Used desired. Thanks Brett
