FOR SALE:   2 PK Rippers posted by: Tony on 9/1/2000 at 8:39:17 AM
1 NOS PK Ripper, dark blue, never been ridden, still in the box. The year is most likely early 90's since its 1" threaded with canti mounts. Blue landing gear and the stock SE parts pack with SE bars and basic 1 pc cranks and unsealed wheel setup. I got it from Dan's auction last week and decided not to keep it.

The second is also dark blue and is older. The year is probably late 80's, 1" threaded with pitbull centerpull brake on the chainstays. This bike is rebuilt with new school parts. I cleaned the frame and replaced the stickers last year as a project bike. All the parts are new and include mongoose aluminum bars, Kevlar seat, 1 pc cranks etc. All the parts are blue anodized and look sweet.

Pictures will be available soon so just e-mail me. I don't believe in ebay and don't want to price gouge. I prefer to trade but will look at cash offers.

I would love to trade for frames only such as older PK polished, Vector, Original Haro, Redline RL20 or PL20, Race Inc aluminum, CW freestyler, Thruster, Champion, Jag, Hutch trickstar in black or the black/grey combo, yellow or chrome GT performer, GJS freestyle or race, or similar type frames.

NOS is New Old Stock = dusty leftovers never used.

I live in Wilmington MA just North of Boston. I collect frames only mostly but I have a few assebled bikes. I just look at my old frames and I ride the new stuff. Maybe we can get together. I have tons of old photos and my basement is a graveyard of old parts.

AGE / VALUE:   Nomura Racing Products posted by: jeff perry on 8/31/2000 at 1:47:49 PM
NOMURA RACING PRODUCTS!!??? If anybody has info on this I'll be amazed! Any old skool riders out there remember a bike called a NOMURA, manufactured by Nomura Racing Products, out of Santa Barbara, CA?? I bought this aluminum frame originally at a race at FairPlain BMX track, (no longer there!) Benton Harbor MI from a rider w/Robinson Racing, (or maybe it was Patterson Racing?) in like '81 or '82. Recently ripped off, would like to get my hands on another. Nomura did cruisers. Would settle for a cruiser. They look like the PK Ripper from SE Racing but w/ a fatter elipticle downtube. I had like, frame #036 i think. I belive these were made in fairly limited #'s. Any info would be greatly appriciated!! Also, write to: Jeff Perry Po Box 302 Mishawaka, IN 46546 Thanx!

I've been around BMX since 1985 and have been collecting since 1990. I am going to insert my opinion on this issue and you can read it and use it to your advantage or disregard it and go about your business. I'm not trying to start any trouble. So with that said here it is a Hutch Windstyler NOS in the box is worth a maxinum of $200 and not a penny more. If you used to own one and are trying to replace a bike you had as a kid I'd advise not paying more then $275 shipped max. There is a ton of these Taiwnaese copy bikes leftover in the boxes worldwide $500 is crazy and anyone who would pay it is an absolute FOOL!!!! A hutch excel is worth $175 tops, and a CW Shaker about $200 as well. Al of these bikes are mild steel imported copies of the good USA machines and there is a reason they are still available NOS in the box, they were not wanted back then or now.

Polished turds posted by Bill on 10/7/2000 at 4:45:54 PM
Mr. Bender says things to people that he would never say to your face. I actually did venture down to his place once (regret), and most of his bikes look like polished turds. His basement has very little original stuff. Most of it has been restored.
