| I am looking for an old rear Skyway Tuff Wheel, my question is how old is yours, relating to the hub design? I need one of the earliest variety, with the metal star shaped hub, in the early STEEL hub variety. The metal changed to aluminum alloy probably around 1983 or so. I need one with steel freewheel hub threads in order to weld to them. |

| Anyone interested in this? It would probably need to be refinished, there are a couple of small rust spots on the top tube and some soot on the chainstays. I think someone tried to melt the rear wheel and the smoke left some film on the back. The frame and fork are both straight. The color is dark grey. Make me an offer if you're interested? It would probably be between $8 and 12 to ship. |

MISC: Mongoose Decade repair
posted by: DeeJay
on 10/12/2001 at 11:06:29 AM
| Hi all. My brother's bike history, as I know it: Bought in garage sale for $25. It was painted red and black. You can see blue underneath on the frame/handlebars. The 1-piece crank is (annodized?) red. The letters "OOS" show through, in white, on the left side of the frame. I went to a BMX track, several people asked what it was. One guy said "That's a Mongoose Decade."
My Problem: I think I stripped the teeth on the handlebars; haven't checked yet. I _doubt_ I can find replacement Decade bars. What should I replace them with? I'm a novice jumper, age 25.
Replies: If you reply on this board, chances are I won't see it. Please e-mail me if you can: campbd@email.uc.edu.
Thanks! Dan |

| Rob,
You posted some Blue 24" tuff wheels among other things on this site. I checked with the post office and the money order I sent was cashed on August 28, 2001. So six weeks later, I have not received any product. No email has been returned. A friend of mine also received the same treatment over a set of Redline cranks. I hope that we can resolve this issue soon, so please refund my money or send the 24" Blue Skyway Tuff wheels to me.

| To any kuwahara owners or anybody that knows about old bmx frames.I have a chrome bmx that appears to be an older kuwahara. The only way I could really identify it was the dropouts look very similiar to some kuwahara pics on the web. The tubing through out is round, serial number is stamped vertically on side of headtube and on both dropouts it has stamped mfg by rc. The welds are nice and it has been fun to ride. Any ideas? |
