It seems that someone may have misplaced my post on Fred Blood. Does everyone hate this guy is he gay or something? I just dont get it. You can curse on this site but GOD forbid you mention the captain.

RE:AGE / VALUE:   fred who? posted by bikeMD on 3/23/2001 at 8:25:28 PM
I've heard that Fred Blood does roller disco stunts on an electric blue 20 inch bike. Any truth that he still does this?

RE:AGE / VALUE:   fred who? posted by Bill C. on 3/24/2001 at 6:21:54 AM
My big problem with this man is as follows.1.he triped me in the 1982 midwest pro disco roller championship.2.he blew my sponsership with general bicycles.(that does include the signature curtian bike)3.I could never look that good in termanater sunglases and a bandana.

RE:RE:AGE / VALUE:   fred who? posted by Rob on 3/24/2001 at 12:01:46 PM
he wasnt talked about much when i was growing up,but everyone generally regarded him as a loser......called him a poser.....said he had about as much talent as me,which was quite the insult.....hehehehe....we talked much better about RL Osborne...

RE:RE:RE:AGE / VALUE:   fred who? posted by Mike on 3/27/2001 at 8:15:27 AM
Yeah, Fred was such a poser that he actually rode with R.L. and the BMXA Tick Team, SE and General, invented the decade, plus he got to ride with Craig Grasso.
Long live Craig Grasso!
Plus, he could skate vert. Can you?

RE:RE:RE:RE:AGE / VALUE:   fred who? posted by Rob on 3/27/2001 at 10:21:39 AM
No..cant skate vert.....however..Can catch 12 ft airs....can you?

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:AGE / VALUE:   fred who? posted by Mike on 3/27/2001 at 12:54:51 PM
Of course it can get 12ft out. Into a lake.
Naturally I would like to see this 12ft air, on an 8ft transition- that is old school.

Good Catch Mike!!!...yep,you got it...air borne lake assaults....
hehehehe.....actaully,have rode dirt street for the past ten years, and havent been on ramps in years...this year is the first back to the ramps for me.......getting lessons from a friend whos pretty good ......the hardest part for me is the rollbacks......rusty rusty rusty!....nothing better than the feeling you get when you are airborne and actually pull the tricks and land right.....what a rush.....
BTW,sorry i trashed Fred Blood so much........but have you ever seen that guy skating?? (lol)....didnt mean to offend so many FB fans.....cheers everyone,Rob

I found an old Robinson F/F, bars, stem & cranks in the creek. How Much is it worth? It has Hutch Dominguez bars, a really old dK stem, & GT 1 pc. A label on the seatpost tube says "handcrafted in USA". Some parts are a little rusty, but the frame is o.k.
Thanks in adv.

Hey Rob,
You seem to know alot about Redline Bikes. Here's one that I need information on:
The Redline C-Note
A) How much does it weigh?
B) Is it for street, trails or Flatland?
C) What kind of wheels & tires come on it?
D) What's the top tube length?
E) Whats the Headangle?
F) Where can I find it?
I've seen this bike in RIDE in Reline advertisements a few times but have yet to see it at any bike shop ads.

that rl20II looks decent. Everyone has different taste. How did you decide which parts to put on it? I dont know much about old freestyling bikes but does yours have old parts?

RE:(A) for effort posted by Rob on 3/20/2001 at 7:27:32 PM

As much as you would HATE hearing it from me, your RL20 II does look beautiful. When did I diss 87-88 RL20 II's? Refresh my memory, then we can go back to hurling insults. Thanks!

RE:RE:RE:(A) for effort posted by Rob on 3/20/2001 at 7:50:31 PM
uh...yeah...well,thanx...i guess i will only say one thing, and thats the damn White Forklifters sure would have looked good on it!!......And,as i said Before,i didnt know whether or not Oldtimer was speaking the truth...obviously,it would appear Not....which leaves me to say this....irregardless of what you spent, you should NOT have let that auction go like that....it was Your mistake for no reserve, and You Know it.....you let 11 people, plus the snipers,(and you know there would have been snipers!) down by not letting it finish.......i know what you are saying,if you had a lot of money into the bike,i wouldnt want to "let it go".....but you totally screwed that up..When i saw that first auction, with no reserve,i said to myself "thats asking for trouble"...and sure enough, you almost got bagged..sometimes Ebay has slumps that seems No-one wants to bid on anything!..even if its great?...and i will say this too...you have a Beautifull bike....someone might get lucky with the bidding.....white is my least favorite color, because of the difficulty in keeping it clean......still doesnt affect how nice your bike is.....Believe me,my Bidding finger itches every time i look at it.........anyways,i am sure you have heard enough,so i will refrain from hurling any more insults?!

so you want to buy a Redline C-Note??? posted by Rob on 3/20/2001 at 8:35:23 PM
okay,the C-Note....thats a freestyle bike,the 2000 version is what im looking at......it has front/rear 990`s (cheap u-brake version?),with chrome doublewall rims...sealed bearing....dia-compe brake levers...forklifter bars,three piece forged crankset,with sealed bearing.....pegs,rotor,mini-layback,freaky-V tires...quite the nice bike...i dont have the price,but can check if wanted.......colors are Forest Green,or Chrome only...heres your specs...head angle=74 seat angle= 71 top tube=19.96 chain stay=14.88 bb rise=1.94 wheel base=36.61.......hope that helps you out.......PS,how about a legitimate e-mail address?

WANTED:   More Bmx Plus! posted by: Romero on 3/20/2001 at 4:00:54 AM
Hey Old Skoolers,
I got the January 87 issue with Ron flyin high on the cover. Thanks all of you who emailed with info & input, now here's the next challenge: I'm looking for the 1986, 87, 88, & 89 BMX Plus! buyers guides as well as the August 1986 issue. Sorry, I can't remember what the covers on the buyers guides look like, but the August 86 issue has Ron Wilkerson on the cover busting big air. You can't tell it's him cause he's blacked out in front of a sunset, but if you were a DieHard Wilkerson fan like I was back then, you would know. His bike has the familiar Graphite Peregrine mags on it. Hey as a matter of fact, the hell with it, I'm interested in ANY Bmx bike mags from 1985 to 1990 with Ron on the cover. This includes Plus, Bmx Action, Freestylin or whatever. Email with any info or pics you may have. By the way, I just got January 1988 in the mail. Thats the one with the Hutch HPV bike on the cover & featured in the mag. If anyone wants any info on this bike, drop a line.

I finally have found a stickerpack for my Red Line- one that was close anyway (83 600a, mine is a 84 500a), and I am planning on getting it rechromed. The chrome is pretty worn on the chainstays and forks from freestyle, but I want it to be as nice as possible... there are plenty of places to send this thing, but has anyone out there done this with their projects? Anyone with a 500a stickerpack? Top $ paid...
