Hello all, Just discovered this site. I've got a Roger Decoster frame & forks that I bought in 1973 (pre hand brakes) and several Mongoose/ Supergoose bikes. All are well ridden and in need of fresh sticker sets. Would anyone out there know where to track these things down? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks by: 66.245.120.210 |

I have this Mongoose M1 that I just picked up. It is very strange I haven’t been able to find any information that matches my bike. It has the pro class dropouts with inch increment markings on them; the drop outs have two holes. It is a California made frame because it says so on the frame itself. It has mushroom grips, and Lee Chi mx brakes. Ten wheels and some odd crank, it has black arms and a black circle on the gear itself with a sliver circle around that. The crank has many circular grooves in it, it is like a record. The frame is perfect; really, it has no scratches, no chips, or dents, at all. The frame has that chrome finish. I was looking for information on the bike. I know that the M1 was a supposedly cheaper bike, but it weighs nothing and it has those dropouts. The bike shop guys were gawking at the dropouts so I may have something special. I don’t know that for sure. Maybe someone would like to make me an offer to buy it, I can send you pictures if the link fails. Thank you, Ian |
I'm curious if you would be inclined to send me some pictures of your M1 Mongoose. brianoddo@hotmail.com by: 65.24.93.207 |
When I was younger a friend of mine had a purple 6061 M1 mongoose. It had to be an 85' or 86'. It actually had pinch bolts behind the BB to hold the looptail rear on. It reminded me of an Auburn CR-20 frame. by: 68.80.225.71 |
