| I have found a Euregio roadster that I am looking for info on. All I have at this piont is: 28"x1 12/" tires, Van Schothorst rims, Schweinfurt Sachs Torpedo hub and coaster brake, non-rod caliper brake and heavy plack plastic enclosed chain (gear case). Black wheel covers that extend down from the fender. Does anyone know anything of Euregio. I believe it may be made in the Netherlands? Any help would be great. Cool bicycle. |

| 4 of us are traveling to the British bike weekend tomorrow and I am still undecieded on what bikes will go. Last year 3 choppers went for the pub crawl and 3 DL-1s for the tour. This year we will bring at least 3 choppers to drink and drive. What of the 4th? A Fireball? A Vindec? A Rodeo? Perhaps a Tracker? Now, the tour will require adult bikes, so we will have 1 DL-1, 1 Moulton 4 speed, 1 Moulton deluxe and...? A 49 lenton sport, a 60 Triumph, 70 Hurcules or the 65 Raleigh Wisp? I love this Hobbie!

| I am back! WE arrived friday night and took a late night South Street cruise on 3 choppers and a Moulton deluxe. My bike was a very problematic derailleur 5 sp. I should have known better that to take a bike with only 1 or 2 miles on it after a restoration! I must be nuts. The weather was very British at 50 and drizzling. We got out early to attend the Saturday ride staring at Trophy bikes. We did eat at a Diner first, so as not to subject ourselves to the crumpets or scones or what ever the bronze age buiscuts we ate last year were. We rode 2 Moultons, a Lenton Sport and a DL-1. After a very long wait (and deluge), we left for Via Bicycles. The shop has never looked better! Off again to the banks of the Delaware River for history and a flat tyre. North brought us to Brians shop/museum to learn about restoration and see a wonderful mix of rare bikes and bits. Lunch was served! We departed full and happy. Our next stop was a local brewery for samples and a tour. Thus began the pub crawl... Me and mine bailed for a few hours to recoup. We tried to rejoin the crawl at the 4th stop around 9pm, but only a few tuff souls were left. I am afraid that the 5th stop was never attained... Sunday had SUN! Cold and wind also. The swap was not well attended and I had to leave before the rail ride so I have nothing to report about that. I never came across the unsavory gang I would need to Mace. The city is Great and the people were tops. The British fans are a loyal assortment of geeks, dreamers and intellectuals who are if nothing else, very interesting.

| That is a Dress Guard or Skirt Guard. It was available as standard on many ladies bicycles before 1940. Sometimes you see them on old Gents bikes from the 1920's. People wore long coats back then and ladies had long skirts. It stopped them getting caught up and tangled in the rear wheel. |

| On this website you'll find blow-up diagrams of the Raleigh/Rudge/Humber bikes, included in the blow-ups are diagrams of the lock. Make a copy of this lock blow-up and bring it to the locksmith, he should be able to cut you a key within minutes. I believe these same style of locks were made for English cars as well, Morris? Rover? can't remember. Oh yeah, the lock's no deterrant if you're parking the bike at a store for a few minutes, but is perfect for keeping the front wheel from flopping around and dinging you in the knees when the bike is in a repair stand... |

| You should take the whole bicycle in and be prepared to answer and prove that it is yours and not stolen. Perhaps if you have the number off of the face of the lock in the bike then they could look it up in their book and make you a key. They may refuse to do that. It's better to bring the whole bike in and let the guy actually see it. I don't see how the diagrams will help a locksmith. Every bike has a diffrent code. The "ring of masters" from the old bike shop had over 75 individual keys and codes. |

| The seller claims that this is a 3-speed. All asian roadsters I have seen are singlespeeds, and as far as I can see this is a singlespeed too. And how many british soldiers are stationed on Tiananmen Square anyway? The shipping cost and the final bed added should buy you at least one brand new chinese or indian roadster (at least here in Denmark, where new indian Atlas' are available for something like 185 USD). No intention to offend anybody, but I would not go for this one.
Take care guys! Jacob |

| J.M Vernoy it the nail on the head. Nobody has been smart enough to make a go of this and a great oportunity has gone to waste. More than one oportunity. The company is indeed Reliant. They are still with us and can supply a whole lot more goodies than just cotter pins. Try the cotter pins with the exact shape nut the ones with the red R caps! You can get stickers with the red R and put that over the Reliant cap nuts. This is already being done in Raleigh Chopper land folks but by only one seller. So far. (Hint) Reliant makes Chopper style wing nuts. A lot of other goodies too. I have e- mailed Chopper folks and given detailed notes on how to make BIG THINGS HAPPEN and every time the project (s) has gone astray.
If I sat in England and was afialiated with this company we would be making money hand over fist! Should this company go under it would be a totally senseless and needless loss of a great company that has contributed so much.
I have another project in the works and they are gonna say how did this nobody get ahold of such a valuable piece of work. I have plans for this! Go for it, |

| Glad to hear that Reliant is still with us and making cotter pins. But I expect it will take time for this distributor to get them. Either he is very busy or has other things to do, as it took about a week for him to write up and fax me prices of my order for me to look over and approve the prices. But he has the right products for English bicycles more often than the companies that have published prices and can ship same day. Afraid I have already taken too much of his time talking with him about such things as English roadsters, Hercules Cycle and Motor Company, etc. But when someone knows first hand, there are questions to be asked. He told me that his bike shop sold Hercules bicycles at the same time that Montgomery Wards was selling them. Now to find out what else Reliant makes. I'm really wondering why the US doesn't buy more from the UK. Bicycle products, except for the rare ones, all seem to be from Taiwan, China, and Malaysia. Save a few pennies and Sturmey Archer, Brooks, Raleigh, and who else can't afford to keep the factories open and have to move them to far away lands where they don't even speak English as their native language, (or at least some variation of it). All I know, so far, about Reliant's products is that they offer cotter pins and bearings. Thank you for the info about Reliant. John |

| I'm in the US and a buyer as well as mechanic at a bicycle shop. I have to, as a buyer for a retail store, buy from a wholesale distributor who buys from the manufacturer. So the retail customer in the US has to buy from the retailer, a bicycle shop, who buys from the wholesale distributor who has bought from the manufacturer, in this case Reliant. I don't know how to contact Reliant nor should I have to in order to buy cotter pins made by Reliant, as long as I can find someone selling them. Someone else may be able to tell if it is different in the UK. We as customers may want to contact the manufacturer to find out where to find the products, so there should be a phone number and address that someone here can give you, (and me?), for Reliant. John
