In my ongoing process of thinning the herd, I have posted a very nice men's DL1 on ebay. It is a 1978, 24" frame, hockey stick chainguard, standard DL1 stuff with 28" wheels, rod brakes, Brooks B72 saddle, etc. This is a very nice original, with perfect original DARE grips, Sir Walter pedals like new, original front tire but new Kenda on the rear. Paint is super, decals all very nice, chrome excellent. It rides great. I just have too many bikes. My resrve is set at $300. The machine is in western Massachusetts, along with lots of Sports bikes and even a cheap club bike or two (no real high end stuff, though). Email or call me at 413-259-1722 for details. by: 216.153.152.113 |
Geoff- Sounds interesting. What is your e-bay auction# or drop me a line (thom@rdswire.com) with some pics. I've been looking to add a rod-levered bike to my collection. Thx in advance, Thom. by: 63.204.42.231 |

I have an original 1973 Triumph Male 3 speed with Sturmey-Archer 3 speed hub. All original and complete. Not a dent or ding, and original metallic blue paint is perfect. Anyone know how much it is worth or have seen something similar sell lately? I am thinking of selling. Thanks for any help! by: 71.217.5.115 |
Just listed my 1952 Raleigh Sports Tourist for sale. It has an enclosed chaincase, dynohub with lamp, etc. However, it will need a bit of work to get it back in tip-top shape. Check it out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190170488890 David by: 98.195.47.72 |
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=280167085830&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=018 Dammit! The auction closed two hours ago and you totally forgot to place a bid. Someone else got it. If anyone here happened to snatch up these hubs and has suddenly decided they don't need them, I will pay near and dear for these. Perhaps we can working something out. These were intended for my soon-to-be 1952 Phillips gents roadster: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=200160387685&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=010 ...oh, and no, I didn't pay $1500 for it. David PS--I just picked up a set of NOS Sunbeam Fibrax brake blocks from Peter Paine which I am now thinking I might not need after all--if any one else is interested in them--email me. by: 98.195.47.72 |

Thanks, Sam, I saw this one. If you come across an NOS or good used front Phillips hub, let me know. Also looking for freewheel. David by: 98.195.47.72 |
David, I've got a Villier, a Bayliss Wiley and a generic (but english) 18 tooth freewheels. You're welcome to any one of them. All are in good condition. Phillips also made them and I have one but it's on a restoration. If you can't find a Phillips, the generic one may be the best. It's barely worn. Just drop me a line. by: 24.224.141.224 |
