I'm looking for a front brake for a homebuilt schwinn moped... it needs to mount to a springer fork and i'd prefer a disk rather than a drum brake, but a clean drum would be okay too... if anyone's got something like that for sale, or could point me towards something i'd appreciate it... thanks!

Help would like to know value of this bike. Have had since little girl and was used when I got it. Is in all original condition. My son's friends always want to buy it, but I am not sure what to sell for.

The Slik Chiks are the more desireable to collectors because they were intended to be the girl's version of the classic Sting Ray. The Lil Chiks and Fair Ladys were facsimiles intended to capture a wider market of little girls who didn't want the aggresive look of the Slik Chik. Yours is not very collectible and still commonly found in resale shops for $10-$25. The only exception is the goldenrod Lil Chik which is a bit rarer because Schwinn found this to be the least popular seller, so they suspended that color the following year. Apparently, girls found the "mustard-colored" bike, well, just plain ugly.

Can someone please tell me what year Schwinn started making Fiestas. I recently picked one up with a serial number of A55975. According to anywhere that I've looked that places its production in 1951 or 1953. Yet I recently heard that Schwinn didn't start making the Fiesta until the early '60s. So which is it?
