Very good condition wood wheel bike with original label "Massey Silver Ribbon Canada-Cycle and Motor Co. Westen, Ontario". Has been kept in controlled environment and is missing only front wooden tire, rim is fully intact. Has been oiled so no rusting. Perfect for collectors, would like a caring person to buy so history is preserved.

FOR SALE:   56' J.C. Higgins posted by: James on 11/17/2003 at 8:38:59 PM
I’ve been on an exhausting journey trying to find a Batwing Reflector for a ’56 J.C. Higgins bike for my father-in-law. He has painstakingly restored this beautiful bike to its former glory but the one piece missing from the puzzle is the batwing reflector he said he had when he was a kid. Can anyone help me locate one. If you have any information contact me at last_swashbuckler@hotmail.com. Thank you!

I guess I'm having a mid life thing going on. I always loved bicycles and rebuilt an old spring fork heavy weight for my paper bike. However, I never got to buy the one I always wanted- All I can remember is that it was probably a Schwinn, red, heavy weight, thick spoked, bendix 2 speed, spring fork, perfect for a newspaper delivery rout bike. CAn you give me a clue as to what, when, where, date, model, price, etc. Cant't seem to get it out of my mind. Marc Trainor.

MISC:   Colson Tricycle posted by: Carol Patrick on 11/11/2003 at 3:15:36 AM
We found this 1880 model of the Colson Tricycle, possibly called "Fairy" It has a wicker seat with back and sides and is operated with hand levers. You turn the front wheel by turning the right lever. It was soon replaced by the chain driven models, but remained popular with amputees, even though it is not a wheelchair. I am trying to determine the value and although I can find a lot of info on the tricycle itself, I can not find its value. Thanks
