MISC:   Old Murray's posted by: Liz on 3/25/2003 at 5:01:24 AM
My parents have aquired a pair of old Murray Monterey bikes, they have bars that join them together in the front and back so that you can ride side by side there is also a basket between the back fenders. We belive that they are from around 1939 or 1940. If any body has a picture of a Murray Monterey from this time please e-mail. We would also like to know what they are worth. I am unable to add a picture with this because I dont have a scanner.

I understand that this space is for you to make a reply. So if you have any info about the Murray Monterey and I do want any info about them PLEASE post it I'm getting desperate.

WANTED:   Maserati T3 (or any Maserati models) posted by: andy broer on 3/25/2003 at 1:35:23 AM
I am a big fan of Maseratis (cars and motorcycles) and was thinking that one of their rare bicycles would be a nice addition to my young collection. Any ideas where to locate one? Or what they might be worth/price? The T3 was "road tested" by Road and Track in the 1980s and just seems like a nice way of increasing my eclectic collection.

Thanks in advance,

WANTED:   Tires for Norman Childs Bike posted by: Bill on 3/24/2003 at 3:20:53 AM
I have a childs Norman bicycle, I beleive it is the model called a "Nobby". It had a Michelin 14 x 1 3/8 Universal blackwall tire on the front and an unidentifiable white tire on the rear. I am confused. The rims measure approximately 12 inches in diameter, but a set of vintage whitewall Pirelli 14 inch tires I snagged from a local bike store auction proved way too large. I also had a 12 inch tire, and it was way too small. Any ideas, anyone?

MISC:   Raleigh RRA 1974 posted by: Tom Williamson on 3/18/2003 at 6:17:15 PM
I have a Raliegh RRA and I'm thinking about selling. Need to establish a value.

RE:MISC:   Raleigh RRA 1974 posted by From the Hip on 3/20/2003 at 5:53:03 AM
Those were kind of low-endy models. Yours would be an upper-end garage sale find.

Not that modern values are appropriate for older lighweight bikes. I think you would have trouble getting a fair deal for yourself. You might store it away for a while.

Those could be nice looking bikes if the paint is all there.
