FOR SALE:   Schwinn Wasp posted by: Jeff on 9/12/2003 at 8:43:44 PM
I have an old bike I used to deliver news papers in the early 60's. It is a Schwinn Wasp and has the springer front end with heavy duty spokes. The only number I could get off of it is L9573. It doesn't have fenders (never did when my dad bought it used in 1962+/-. The tires are 26" x 2.125" and has never been restored. Anyone know what it is worth? I am willing to sell it.

Just who manufactured the JC Penny Foremost single speed racer of the early 1960's? It had a Komet 161 Super Coaster brake, but NO serial number or other country of origin. Get out your books and deal with this.

Hello Bill or whomever: I need the axle and cones for a front drumbrake (early 50's schwinn)can someone who knows how to tell if it is the right one, hook me up.I think it's just a rear axle but with long cones that will fit the bearings that it takes. Most older bike shops would still have some that could work, I believe. If some of you do concur; please advise me specifically
Thank you.
