MISC: Have access to many used/junked bikes - what is the best way to sell them?

| Hello,
I have access to piles of used bikes, usually 10 - 25 years old. Can anyone advise on the most strategic way to sell this stuff.
Some questions I have are: 1) Which parts and/or from which bikes are the easiest to sell? 2) What are good places on the internet to list these items (besides eBay)?
3) Is there any online or printed document/FAQ that describes the ideas of selling used bikes and/or parts?
Thanks very much,
Gene |

| You won't find many sellable parts on bikes 10-25 years old. The scrap yard will be your best bet. If you are interested in getting into the bike hobby, there is no quick easy way to learn everything there is to know. It takes time and research. |

| Hold on just a daw-gone minuite here! Put your brain in gear before you open your mouth.
Just what kind of bikes are we talking about? You can't make broad sweeping generalizations and say that a 15- 20 year old bike is worth only $2... converesly, there's no way possible that we can make an accurate assesment based on such a vague description.
Education is important, to answer question #3 there is not any one place to go to get the knowlege you seek.
To give you an answer to Questions #1 & #2 someone would be creating the answer to Question #3. I'm available on a consultation basis for 18% of the gross plus expenses to your location |

| You may have some hubs that have value...Sturmey-Archer 3 speed hubs,U.S. made Bendix coaster brake hubs, anything Schwinn approved...Check them out and post questions about specific ones, or even look for them on ebay...Just a suggestion... |

| There may some collectable bikes or parts in that pile.. at least look into some of the bike collecting sites and do an inventory before you scrap anything... you can always sell the pile to a collector for one lump sum and let em go through it.. |
