Hi all
1st time here, trying to do some research on Dawes bikes. Are the ones I listed considered vintage? Can't find info on them. We "inherited" them a few years ago from as a bad debt payoff, and they are still in their original boxes, tho the boxes are in pretty bad condition. I just want to know if they are something to keep or just get rid of them. Any help would be appreciated.

FOR SALE:   Unknown schwinn, help! posted by: J. dude on 6/14/2004 at 3:33:04 PM
I have an Old all chrome Schwinn BMX, it has no name other then "flite" which is on some blue and white checkered stickers on the fork and near the rear drop outs. its got a blue and white Oval schwinn tag on the headtube, chrome handle bars with a four peice handle bar gooseneck made from aluminim. its got a chrome and blue ring crank (the outter gear can be removed without taking the crank apart).
the chrome is really nice but the painted parts are a little nicked.
does anyone know what schwinn this is, how old it is and what it would be worth? I would consider trades possibly.

You may have a Schwinn Sting 20" BMX Frame (and probably forks). These were REALLY expensive - if I remember it well, the welds should be smoothed on the frame, and it should be of larger than standard tubing. They might have been aluminum, polished or chromed (can't remember)- does a magnet cling to it? Hope this helps, Aaron

I have a Legnano (RC) racing frame built by Bianchi in the early 1980's to honor the 75 (I believe) anniversary of Legnano for sale. About the frame, History: The frame originated/was originally purchased in Italy at a Bianchi warehouse and was being used as a sizing frame. The frame was used by a junior team for a giro d'italia (year approximate to 83, 84). Specs: the frame is a 61, and aside from a scratch on the top tube, is in excellent condition, the fork is chrome and needs to be polished. photos can be emailed upon request, as well as pricing details. serious inquiries, please.
