MISC:   Huffy Judge 5 posted by: Dale on 8/17/2004 at 2:01:55 AM
Hello! I purchased a bike at a yard sale last week. Wanted to know more about it. It looks similar to a bike in the oldroads.com picture database. My bike says The Judge 5 on the chain gaurd, cheater slick on the rear tire and Huffy on the front. It's purple and has a 5 gear shifter. It has 2 small tubes down the center ( is it a rail bike?) I am wandering how old it is. My little girl is having a blast riding it, she gets a lot of compliments. I'm glad to have found this web-page and hope someone can tell me about the bike. Thanks!

MISC:   Huffy "Dill Pickle" posted by: Jason on 8/16/2004 at 9:33:41 PM
I picked up a Huffy Dill Pickle at a yard sale and was wondering if it was worth restoring for resale. I was only interested in the handle bars a first but after further inspection all the parts are in excellent condition. Any thoughts?

I am probably the only one in the world looking for a Dill Pickle... I had one when I was a Kid. If you are interested in selling it as a whole I might be interested in buying it, but I don't think you would find to many takers - Huffy's don't pull bids like schwinns do.

I have a Huffy Dill Pickle in near mint condition... if you are still looking for one, shoot me an email and we will talk.

MISC:   Huffy Roadside Cruiser posted by: Dave on 8/16/2004 at 5:55:46 PM

My neighbor has a Huffy Roadside Cruiser that he wants to sell. He doesn't know exactly when he bought it but he thinks it was about 30 years ago. Since he does not have a computer he asked me to give him a hand listing it on the internet. However, before doing so I wanted to see if I could find a similiar bike so I would have some idea of its value. I have not been able to find another "Roadside Cruiser" in any of my internet searches. Is anyone out there familiar with this model?

I have a 26 inch girls bike ( Columbia Cyclone ,3 spd shifter in the handle grip Sturmy Archer w/coaster brake & frt hand brk ) serial # N103260 it looks somewhat like a Torpedo. Its green with chrome fenders. The frt fender has a center rise of about 3/8 inch. This bike is extremely clean, the chrome is like almost new. No dents , only a few scratches in paint. I cant get much info on it , could some one help me.

FOR SALE:   Huffy Bay point posted by: Peg on 8/9/2004 at 4:11:43 PM
I have a Huffy Bay Point 3-speed made in USA Dayton, Ohio. It is in excellent condition. Does anyone know what it is worth// or when what year // I am guessing 40s or 50s??

RE:FOR SALE:   Huffy Bay point posted by Chris on 8/17/2004 at 9:09:09 PM
I don't think that it is as old as the 40' or 50's, but heare are some things to look for. If the rear hub was made by Sturmey-Archer, it will have a two-digit year and a two-digit month stamped into it. If the frame has a sticker on it that says something like BMA/6 (a bicycle manufacturer's association certification), then the bike is most likely no older than 1972. Are there reflectors on the pedals, or reflective stickers on the side of the forks? These were safety features that seem to be related to the BMA/6 certification, and would also be clues of a 1972 or newer bike, though the pedals may have been replaced.
