I need info regarding the best way to remove the chromed piece of metal which covers the twin springer fork on a 1952 Firestone Super Cruiser bike. The chrome piece on my bike is badly deteriorated and dented. Can anyone help on this? I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you.... by: 64.12.116.69 |
The only thing holding it on is the bearing race above it. Pry the race up and the chrome cover should be free. by: 67.186.65.161 |

I have a mid 70's road bike I finished rebuilding....Campy, Zeus and Cinelli components on a custom (ie., don't know who built it) 531 frame. Found a period campy brake set, but the rear is short reach. I need about a 1/4" drop and don't want file out the brake arms or otherwise screw up the brakes. A couple of Pasadena, Ca shops have told me there is a drop-bolt adapter available and one shop says they can get one made by Campy for like $60! If I could fabricate one I would. Can anyone point me in the right direction! by: 76.211.140.61 |
I have a 1961 5spd Corvette (black) It's missing the handle bars, seat and proper fenders. The seat tube sticker is legible. It has the French rear hub and deraillur also. Paint is Borderline and chain guard is nice. I'll try and post pictures tonight when my wife gets home and shows me how. All/Parts/ Trades are cool. Thanks, Skip by: 67.181.84.240 |
