I have a Predator, and I'm thinking it's a 1981-82, somewhere around that time frame. It was my first REAL bike and it's been sitting in my Mom's garage in Pittsburgh since I started driving. It's in decent shape from what I can remember, of course it did get a good 6 or 7 years of old fashioned wear and tear. Let me know if you are still in need, maybe we can work something out.

Early 70s sounds likely. Can you post a picture?
SunTour parts generally have date codes. Somebody will give the link; I can't find it. If it says Maeda Iron Works it's pre 1970 when they changed the name to Maeda Industries.'hadland/page35.htm
Columbia has a history page on the website but it (rightly) doesn't consider anything that happened in the 20th century historically significant.
