FOR SALE:    posted by: Cathy on 9/25/2006 at 4:19:05 PM
WE want to sell a couple of old bikes but are having trouble identifying them. Most bike dealers ask us to name a price and we have no idea what they're worth or even what years' they are. Would anyone be willing to help? One is a Rocket: Model 2260B, serial no.: A1524967 and the other is a Zenith by Marshall Wells, Dc6039. Thank You.

Look in the picture database of this website and see if you find one that matches or is close to what you have. If you have the capability to post photos, please do so and we can look at them and try to help you identify them.

The Zenith might be a Cleveland Welding made bike, look at the Hawthornes and Hiawathas and see if you find a similar bike. The Rocket is very possibly a Monark. You can check the database for Monark Rocket.

FOR SALE:   Columbia Gran Prix??? posted by: Shaun Hamilton on 9/24/2006 at 5:22:40 PM
I recently grabbed an old road bike out of the trash... but I cannot find any information on it whatsoever. It is labeled as "Columbia Gran Prix" and "Aerodynamic" It is black, the lettering is red and white. The frame is shaped like that of an average road bike but the tubes are not circular, but more like a rounded triangular crossection. From what i've seen, columbia hasn't made anything like it. Anybody heard or seen of anything like this. Serial number from bottom bracket is... 5 0901194. thanks for any help

I can't say I've heard of that, but you may be able to search the serial# charts on this site. Good luck!
