I need a chain for a 1940 Gambles "Hiawatha" bicycle. I believe the bike was made by Shelby. It is a single speed with a coaster brake. Any idea where I can get one and ball park price? by: 75.70.164.23 |
I'm assuming you need "inch pitch" or "skiptooth" chain. Your best bet is probably ebay. Expect to pay at least $25 for a good used one. by: 66.113.47.14 |
Hello everyone, I'm hoping someone will have a clue as to where I could find a vintage English three speed. I spent a few months in Europe and saw them all over and I'd like to find one. Any suggestions would be great, and let me know if anyone is willing to part with their Triumph three speed. Thanks! Evan by: 67.165.99.8 |

If you want collectible 'vintage', post on the english roadster forum, where they are totally knowledgeable. If you want to ride at reasonable cost, English 3-speeds still turn up at the thrift shops often, Except for the early and rare ones, they are relatively uncollectible and therefore great cheap transportation. by: 66.225.39.36 |
Hey Guys/Girls, I am looking for a bike that was specially made for me back in the day. It was a Timmy Judge Model Thruster bike but the frame had been lengthen at the factory for my long legs.I was sponsored by a local shop back then. My Mom let my little brother trade it for a skateboard while I was at college!!!! It was last seen in the Boone, NC area but bike was originally bought at Capt. Otto's Bike shop, Ft. Myers Beach, Fla. It was the all chrome model, blue pedals, stem and rims/tires. It had titanium Hubs and pedals. The bottom bracket had also been modified to fit sealed Shimano Crankbearings. It was a $1250 bike when bought new,('79-'80) I would love to get this one back....any leads would be great but I know this is a shot in the dark. Thanks!!! by: 69.77.145.227 |
